The Career Internship provides a real world work experience to those looking to explore or gain relevant knowledge and skills of a particular career field. Students are assigned to a mentor, who along with the student and the Career Opportunities Coordinator will develop a training plan for the student. The request must be initiated by the student, with final placement receiving approval of the counselor or Career Opportunities Coordinator. Transportation is the responsibility of the student. Students will be required to complete several inventory/assessments of their training site, as well as daily journals of their learning experiences. An application, essay, teacher recommendations and an interview are required. Grading is assigned as an E, S, or U.
