Dr. Scott Krauser, Superintendent
Welcome to York Suburban School District
Over my nearly 20 years in the District, I have had the privilege of witnessing countless moments of pride as our students learn, perform, compete, and grow into confident, capable young adults. These experiences continually highlight the strength of our school community and its shared dedication to student success.
Staff, families, and community members all play an essential role in supporting students as they develop skills, explore their interests, and find their own paths. This partnership is at the heart of our Portrait of a Graduate, which outlines the attributes and qualities we aim to cultivate in every student. From kindergarten through senior year, these six competencies guide learning, growth, and meaningful experiences, helping each student prepare for the future with confidence and purpose.
With the launch of our new District website, we are excited to offer a more user-friendly and engaging way to stay connected and informed. I encourage you to explore the site and learn more about the many opportunities to be part of York Suburban’s proud tradition of excellence and our shared commitment to Inspiring a BOLD future for every student.
Thank you for your continued support of our schools, our staff, and, most importantly, our students.

Superintendent Advisory Groups
Dr. Krauser meets with three advisory groups. The purpose of these groups is to enhance communication and foster stronger partnerships between the District and its stakeholders.
Group 1: Parent Council
Parents play an important role in promoting the social, emotional, and academic success of all students. This council provides the Superintendent and other district staff with feedback from different family perspectives. Ideally, the group has diverse representation from all corners of our District. Meetings will be held in October, December, February, and April.
Group 2: Community Advisory
Community members, leaders, and service providers play a valuable role in helping the District prepare its students for success after graduation. The goal of the Community Advisory is to discuss various topics, share information, and broaden the understanding of school-related issues. We are particularly interested in involvement by local businesses, nonprofits, health and human services, real estate professionals, alumni, etc. Meetings will be held in October, January, and May.
Group 3: Student Advisory Student Advisory
The student advisory group will be formed with the assistance of the high school administration.
Annual Performance Objectives & Evaluation
The Board must formally evaluate, in written form, the Superintendent and the Assistant Superintendent by the end of each fiscal year. During their evaluations, the Board determined Dr. Scott Krauser, Superintendent, and Dr. Rebecca Lorfink, Assistant Superintendent, met their Objective Performance Standards.

I BELIEVE IN INSPIRING A BOLD FUTURE FOR OUR STUDENTS.SCOTT KRAUSER
