Renovation Groundbreaking
A new chapter is beginning at York Suburban High School.
On September 15, students, staff, Board members, administrators, and project partners gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the official start of the District’s high school renovation and construction project.
The ceremony opened with remarks from Superintendent Dr. Scott T. Krauser, High School Principal Dr. Ellis, and Board President Mrs. Lois Ann Schroeder, who reflected on the project's significance and the many people who helped bring it to this point.
For nearly seven decades, York Suburban High School has been a place where students have learned, grown, discovered their passions, and created lasting memories. Generations of students and teachers have accomplished incredible things within a building designed in the 1950s. This project will create a learning environment that better reflects the quality, innovation, and opportunities happening inside its walls every day.
The transformation will include modernized classrooms, dedicated spaces designed for collaboration and career-focused learning, and significant improvements to student and athletic spaces, including a new natatorium.
As construction gets underway, the York Suburban community has much to look forward to. The groundbreaking marks not simply the beginning of a construction project, but the beginning of a new era for York Suburban High School.
