Planning for Inclement Weather

Good afternoon, York Suburban students, families, and staff.

After a week of bitter cold, it seems winter isn’t ready to give us a break. Forecasts are calling for significant snowfall in our area on Sunday. While no official decision has been made, I wanted to share information to help with your planning.

If the forecast holds and it is not safe to hold in-person classes, our tentative plan is to implement a Remote Learning Day on Monday, January 26.

With this advance notice, I am confident staff will be able to maintain continuity of learning for our students. Families may also wish to prepare and make any necessary arrangements for virtual learning. As a reminder, information regarding schedules and expectations for students and staff can be found on our website and will be included in district communications.

Please know that student and staff safety is always our top priority, and we will provide as much advance notice as possible if a schedule change becomes necessary.

Thank you for your flexibility, and a special thanks to our custodial and facilities teams, who will once again be working in the snow to keep our campuses safe.

Wishing you a safe and warm weekend. Enjoy the snow!

Sincerely,

Scott T. Krauser, Ed.D.
