Guidelines
The District is eager to cooperate with the various non-profit and not-for-profit organizations and agencies regarding the distribution of flyers within our schools. In an effort to decrease paper copies, the district will be posting approved flyers to the district website. The following guidelines must be followed.
- The organization or agency for which the flyer is being distributed must be non-profit or not-for-profit.
- Agencies/organizations not affiliated with the district must have the following statement on the flyer.
The school district neither encourages nor discourages a student’s participation in the activity described herein. - Non-district programs, clubs, and camps that use York Suburban and/or Trojan as part of their name must have the following statement on the flyer.
This program is not operated by the York Suburban School District. - Each flyer must be approved by the Superintendent or the Superintendent’s designee. Forward a copy of the flyer for consideration to pr@yssd.org. The school district will notify the agency/organization of approval or disapproval.
Following approval, the flyer will be posted on the district website for the duration of the activity and/or registration for the activity. Additionally, the organization or agency may choose to provide paper copies of their approved flyer directly to elementary buildings to accommodate families without printing capabilities. The District does not use email to share community flyers. Additionally, paper copies are not distributed at the secondary level.
Once the flyer is approved, classroom counts will be provided to the organization representative if requested.
