New Administrative Appointments

Summer break just began, but we are already looking forward to the 2024-2025 school year. As many of you may know, Dr. Greg Gulley will be retiring from the District after 16 years of dedicated service to our school community. His leadership, commitment, and passion for education have left an indelible mark on Indian Rock Elementary, and we are deeply grateful for his unwavering dedication over the years. While Dr. Gulley’s retirement is bittersweet, we are excited to embark on a new chapter as we look to unite our two intermediate schools into one. 

As previously announced, Ms. Betsy Bedell, the current principal of East York Elementary School, will be the principal of East York and Indian Rock Elementary Schools next year. Mrs. Katelyn Hall will join her as Assistant Principal at those two buildings and Dr. Gulley will continue to play an essential role in providing transition support until his retirement.

Mrs. Hall is a familiar face at York Suburban. She has taught fifth and third grades at Indian Rock Elementary and provided gifted support across all our elementary buildings and the middle school. With a decade of dedicated service in education, Mrs. Hall is excited to continue her journey with York Suburban and looks forward to making a positive impact.

Mrs. Kendig spent the last 14 years as the Director of Business Services at the Donegal School District. She is excited to enter the Chief Financial and Operations Officer role at York Suburban.

 

Rhonda Fourhman

After dedicating 26 years of service to the West Shore School District, where she most recently held the position of Director of Communications, Mrs. Fourhman is honored to be York Suburban’s first Director of Communications & Community Relations.

 

Loree Marchese
Director of Accounting Services

Ms. Marchese is excited to be an integral part of York Suburban and brings close to 32 years of various experiences in school business. She has worked for an Intermediate Unit, K-12 school districts, and most recently as the Business Administrator for a cyber charter school.

I am confident these new team members will be great additions to our already exceptional group of administrators and will uphold the values of excellence and community that define York Suburban School District and inspire a BOLD future.
