Superintendent’s Welcome Back Message
Message sent to all families and community members on August 9, 2024.
Good afternoon York Suburban Families and Community Members,
I hope you and your family are enjoying the remaining days of summer. As Superintendent, there is no better feeling than the start of a new school year and the return of students to our hallways and classrooms. We have been working diligently throughout the summer to prepare for students’ return and look forward to making this a wonderful year.
To our students, as we prepare to embark on a new school year, I encourage you to ignite your curiosity. In echoing Eleanor Roosevelt’s famous words, “Do one thing every day that scares you.” I urge you to try new activities that intrigue you, speak up in class even if it makes you nervous, take on leadership roles, and pursue opportunities you might normally shy away from. School is a nurturing place to grow your experience and interests. Make this year one of personal development and bold choices. The challenges you overcome today will shape your future success.
To our returning families, thank you for your continued trust and partnership. To those joining us for the first time, we warmly welcome you to our school community. Education is a collaborative effort. We encourage open communication between home and school, and we value your involvement in your student’s educational journey.
To our community members and educational partners, your support is appreciated and crucial to the quality of education we provide. By working together, we can inspire a BOLD future for our students.
