Community Flyers
Guidelines for Online Distribution of Fliers
In an effort to decrease paper copies, the District posts approved flyers to this page on our website and includes a link to the page in our monthly e-newsletter. The District does not use email to share individual community flyers.
Please review the following guidelines before submitting your information for approval.
Requirements
The organization or agency for which the flyer is being distributed must be non-profit or not-for-profit.
Agencies/organizations not affiliated with the district must have the following statement on the flyer.
The school district neither encourages nor discourages a student’s participation in the activity described herein.
Non-district programs, clubs, and camps that use York Suburban and/or Trojan as part of their name must have the following statement on the flyer.
This program is not operated by the York Suburban School District.
Approval Process
Each flyer must be approved by the Director of Communications and Community Relations. Submit a PDF version to pr@yssd.org for consideration.
The agency/organization will be notified of approval or disapproval. Following approval, the flyer will be posted for the duration of the activity and/or registration for the activity.
Kindly allow 2-3 days for submissions to be reviewed, approved, and posted.
Paper Copies
The organization or agency may choose to provide paper copies of their approved flyer to elementary students to accommodate families without printing capabilities. Paper copies are not distributed at the secondary level (grades 6-12).
If the organization or agency would like to distribute paper copies, please indicate this in your email and the classroom counts will be provided after approval of the flyer.
It is the responsibility of the organization or agency to make the copies, divide them into groups by classroom, and deliver them to the individual schools.
Community Flyers
It is important to note that the York Suburban School District neither encourages nor discourages a student's participation in the activities and programs featured on this page.
Due to their file size, some flyers may need longer to load.
