Student Meal Accounts: Using SchoolCafe
New for 2024-2025, the District’s Point of Sale (POS) system will be SchoolCafe (schoolcafe.com). Families have the option of adding funds to their child's account online through SchoolCafe or with cash or check. By using the POS system, parents are able to deposit money into student accounts electronically. Deposits can also be made by sending a cash or a check written to “YSSD Food Service Fund.” Please note the student ID number and grade on the check/envelope (if known).
It is important to note, the school will not provide money for borrowing at the secondary schools. Students with negative balances can only charge one meal on their account daily. Second meals, super meals, and a la carte items cannot be charged on an account with a negative balance. Students must have money in their accounts or cash at the time of purchase.
