New Families
York Suburban School District has a long-standing reputation for academic excellence. In 2014, Newsweek Magazine identified York Suburban High School as the 67th best high school in the nation for preparing students for college. There are 19,666 high schools in the United States. Using the same criteria, York Suburban High School ranked 5th in the state of Pennsylvania. The Newsweek ranking also placed York Suburban 83rd nationally for helping economically disadvantaged students succeed. This ranking takes into account the success of students living in poverty relative to the success of all students. These accomplishments are a credit to the entire K-12 education community. All of the students, staff, and community take great pride in the District's accomplishments.
However, the District goes well beyond academic accomplishments. There is a sense of community within our buildings. For a small taste of this culture, please watch this video detailing the great involvement of our affiliated organization, the York Suburban Education Foundation.
Helpful Information
York Suburban provides preschool-aged care, after-school care, and before-school care through its early learning partnership. Students in these programs are housed in classrooms within the District's elementary school buildings. More information about these programs can be found on our early learning web page.
