YSHS Forward Learning Student Work Showcase
The following are examples of the great work and great learning experiences that students have completed during their forward learning experiences.   Keep checking back as we will continue to add new examples to this showcase!

Alon Gorham (Gr. 11) created a project for his study of transcendentalism in English class.

The English Seminar students created a Satire Website to showcase their original satires.  From the website you can access their individual works!

Julia Shiflet, Ben Klimes, Alissa Martin, Brady Stump, Maria Moura, Nick Andricos, Liza Brown, Kevin Clarke (All Grade 10) - Students identified chemical and physical changes by completing home experiments using everyday household items.
Molly Dennes (Grade 9) - In Mrs. Cebula's English class, students read poetry from the children that were in the Terezon Concentration Camp during the Holocaust. They analyzed the poetry then made butterfly memorials to go along with the child and their poetry. Butterflies were a symbol of the innocent children who were killed during the Holocaust
Sierra Chandler (Grade 12) - Initial action plans for her senior project in English were aborted because of social distancing, but Sierra changed her action plan to create this website about Covid-19. CLICK ON IMAGE TO VISIT WEBSITE

Cole Adams (Grade 10) - For his Culminating Project for Controversial Research Paper, Cole located and interviewed an expert in this field. He embedded this information as well as his independent research into infographic sheets as well as a 30-page PDF book on climate change!
Grant Kern (Grade 10) - Managed to reach a nationally-recognized expert in the field who shared information he embedded in an infographic to distribute
