Comprehensive Plan

Comprehensive Plan 2023-2026

The Pennsylvania Department of Education and the Pennsylvania School Code require school districts to complete a Comprehensive Planning Process. This plan comprises district goals, accomplishments, and areas of concern, with action plans and implementation steps outlined to support those initiatives. This data-driven process allows school districts to collaborate, plan activities, and allocate resources towards a shared vision. Questions related to the plan should be directed to Dr. Rebecca Lorfink, Assistant Superintendent, at rlorfink@yssd.org.

Comprehensive Plan 2026-2029

Every three years, York Suburban School District takes a deep look at our successes and challenges to create a Comprehensive Plan for the next three years. A team of over 50 community members, parents, staff, and students provided input over several months to help establish goals and priorities as we continue moving forward into our BOLD future.

A draft of the Comprehensive Plan for 2026-2029 was presented to the School Board on February 23, 2026, and is posted below, along with additional documents that accompany the plan.

Members of the public are welcome to submit comments on the plan until the Board's formal vote on March 23, 2026. Feedback should be emailed to Dr. Rebecca Lorfink, Assistant Superintendent, at rlorfink@yssd.org.
