PA Supreme Court Vacates Automatic Stay for Mask Mandate

December 10, 2021

Dear York Suburban Families,

Today, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania issued an order that vacates the automatic stay related to the state-wide mask mandate

As a result, the state-wide mask mandate is no longer in effect, and we will revert immediately to the Health and Safety Plan. The language in the plan dictates that masking will be optional in our schools for all grade levels starting on December 11, 2021.

However, per federal regulations, masks must continue to be worn while using District-provided transportation.

This is an evolving situation, and we will keep you informed when there are new developments. Thank you for your ongoing patience and flexibility.
