A Letter from the Board President to All York Suburban Residents

January 14, 2022

Dear York Suburban Residents,

First and foremost, I’d like to extend my apologies to those who were inconvenienced by the postponement of Wednesday’s Future-Focused Planning community meeting. Unfortunately, some members of the audience refused to comply with the District’s Health and Safety Plan, which ultimately led to the postponement.

I offer my assurance to all York Suburban residents that no action will be taken on the Administration’s recommendation of study option 4B or any other option until more community input can be safely solicited. In essence, the decision-making process has been paused.

Currently, we have two Future-Focused Planning meetings scheduled on April 7, 2022. Please mark this date on your calendars. We are also exploring virtual community engagement opportunities between now and April.

Meanwhile, continue to reference the Future-Focused Planning web page for details about the Administration’s recommendation. We look forward to hearing your thoughts in April and potentially even sooner.

Thank you for your continued patience and support as we give this important process the time and attention it deserves.

Sincerely,
John H. Posenau
President, Board of School Directors
