Prior to the start of the Reorganization/Planning Committee meeting, the Nominations Committee will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the cafeteria of the York Suburban High School. The agenda for the Nominations Committee meeting can be found at this link.

        1. All comments and questions will be addressed to the President. Board and staff members will not normally respond to comments or questions during the meeting unless recognized by the President for this purpose. Comments will be limited, at the discretion of the President, to five minutes or less.
  2. Board Reorganization
    1. Overview
      1. The reorganization of the Board takes place for the election of a President and Vice-President and the setting of dates and times of meetings for the coming school year. Section 402 of the School Code states, “…that there shall be elected from the hold-over members a temporary President to chair the reorganization meeting, and the Secretary of the Board shall act as Secretary of such meeting.”
    2. Election of Temporary President
      1. Board President opens the floor for nominations for a temporary President. [Motion; Discussion; Roll Call Vote]
    3. Report of Nominations Committee – Mr. Robinson
      1. A Nominations Committee meeting was held prior to this meeting.
    4. Election of President

    6. 2023 Meeting Schedule of Planning Committee and Regular Monthly Meetings was approved at the November 28, 2022 Voting Meeting.

    1. Brett Butler donated $250 to the Technology Student Association Student Activity Club.

        1. Employment
          1. Recommend the Board approve Kayla Brown, Paraprofessional, at Indian Rock Elementary School,  effective December 5, 2022, with an hourly rate of $13.40. Pending receipt of clearances and new hire paperwork. 
          2. Recommend the Board approve  Ronald Coursey as Athletic Director, effective date to be determined, with an annual salary of $110,000 in accordance with the Act 93 Administrative Compensation Plan. Pending receipt of clearances and new hire paperwork.  
        2. Resignations/Retirements
          1. Recommend the Board accept the resignation of Tyler Laudeman as MS Assistant Football Coach effective November 29, 2022.
          2. Recommend the Board accept the retirement of Sueann Barron, Elementary Teacher at the Yorkshire Elementary School, effective at the conclusion of the 2022-23 school year. Ms. Barron has served 23 years in public education and 23 years at York Suburban SD.  
        3. Leaves of Absence
          1. Recommend the Board approve the FMLA leave request for Jill Amspacher, School Counselor at Indian Rock Elementary School, effective November 30,  2022, through January 10, 2023.
          2. Recommend the Board approve the FMLA leave request for Melissa Martin, Teacher at YS Middle School, effective December 16,  2022, through January 27, 2023.
        4. Extracurriculars
          1. Recommend the Board approve Brandon Rauhauser as High School baseball Head Coach, Tier 1 at $5,300 as per the YSEA Bargaining Agreement.
