College Visits and Applications

Off-Campus Visits to Colleges & Universities

When possible, students are encouraged to schedule college visits outside the regular school day. However, each junior and senior student is permitted three college visitations per academic year.  Visits during school time should include a visit with an admissions counselor, an official tour, or other activity that an employee of the college can officially document.

If an appointment with a college official must be scheduled on school time, the following procedures must be followed or the absence will be considered unexcused:

  1. Pre-Planned College Visit Form (New online form for 2023-24) must be completed before the visit for pre-approval.
  2. Students must contact their classroom teachers in advance of the trip to identify work that must be completed before their return.
  3. Upon returning to school, the student must submit proof of attendance.

On-Campus Visits with Colleges & Universities

The Career, College, and Workforce Center schedules admissions counselors and other college reps to visit with students in the building during the school day. A complete list of upcoming college visits can be found in the CCW Event Calendar on this page or the counseling department events page.

Students interested in visiting with a college rep should register using Scoir.
