As a former York Suburban School Board Director, it was quite unsettling to me to see a sitting board member bring politics into the board room at the October planning meeting. School boards are structured to provide a platform for non-partisan group efforts benefiting the schools and community. In my 20 years of serving on the York Suburban School Board, I can sincerely say that Mr. Sanders’ blatant political grandstanding was a first. Not only did he show disrespect for his fellow members of the Board, but his behavior is not conducive to the collaborative work that York Suburban community should expect from its representatives.
